Idylwood Towers offers a variety of amenities for
residents, their families and guests:
Basketball Court - The basketball court at the West building may be used during daylight hours.
Children's Play Area - The children's play area at the West building may be used during daylight hours. Parents or guardians are responsible for proper supervision of children and safe use of the play equipment.
Card Rooms - Each building has a card room, with card tables and chairs, on the second floor for use by the residents. The card room in the West building includes the "Bernard Drell Memorial Library," which has a wide selection of books and magazines to read.
Community Centers - A spacious community center, located on the basement level of each building, is available for private parties and community social activities. Each room has a fully operational kitchen, tables and chairs. Residents may reserve these facilities through the management office. Use of the rooms must end by 11:00 pm Sundays through Thursdays and by 1:00 am Fridays, Saturdays and holidays. Persons using the rooms must leave the rooms in clean condition
Fitness Centers - Each building has a modern fitness center with professional quality equipment for aerobic and strength exercises. The fitness centers are located off the basement elevator lobbies. The centers are Fob accessible
Grill Areas - Each building has an area for cookouts. Residents my use the grills from 10:00 am to 11:00 pm Sunday through Thursday. 10:00 am to Midnight on Fridays, Saturdays and holidays.
Ping Pong Rooms - Each building has a ping pong room on the second floor. Residents may borrow paddles at the front desk. The ping pong rooms are available from 9:00am to 11:00pm daily.
Billiard Rooms - Each building has a billiard room. Balls and rack can be obtained at the front desk. Users need to furnish their own cue sticks. The billiard rooms are available from 9:00am to 11:00pm daily.
Sun Deck - The sun deck is located by the swimming pool at the East building. Access is through the pool shower rooms. The sun deck is available from 10:00 am to 11:00 pm Sundays through Thursdays and 10:00 am to Midnight Fridays, Saturdays and holidays.
Swimming Pool - The swimming pool, located at the East building, is open from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. The pool is open from 1:00 pm to 8:30 pm Mondays through Thursdays, and 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Fridays and 11:00 am to 9:00 pm on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. Guest passes are available at the management office for a nominal charge. Pool rules are distributed to all residents prior to opening day.
Tennis Courts - Reservations are made through the front desk Receptionist at the East building. Please call - 703-560-8510. Resident ID cards must be presented to the Receptionist.
